The Caring Kind Project is a growing regional social impact programme connecting businesses across hospitality, leisure, culture and tourism with unpaid carers across West Yorkshire.
Together, we're creating meaningful community impact for local people - turning small contributions into moments of relief for people who are struggling.

Giving Partners do more than donate experiences.
They become part of a regional movement supporting unpaid carers while creating a positive impact within their communities.
Partnering with The Caring Kind Project can help your organisation:
Individuals and family members benefited from gifted breaks since we launched in Sept '25
That's equivalent to an unpaid carer having a break every day through the Caring Kind Project
With over £12k of social value generated for our local communities
You do not need to make a large donation. Many meaningful breaks begin with simple acts of generosity.
Giving Partners have offered:
A meal, coffee and cake, or afternoon tea
Wellbeing - massage, yoga, hairdos
Tickets - comedy, gigs, theatre
A hotel stay or spa access
Not in hospitality, tourism, leisure or cultural sectors?
You can still support The Caring Kind Project by
Sponsoring breaks
Funding experiences
Fundraising activities in your community
One-off donations
Help shape growth, reach and long-term impact, building on a genuine desire to co-create value and social value for everyone involved.

Complete the contact form or email the team directly. Together, we’ll co-create a break offer to meet your social objectives and business capacity.
Your contribution is then listed in the online 'sweetie shop' of breaks, viewable and bookable by Carer Support Workers on behalf of the unpaid carers they're supporting.
Be part of the story and celebrate your social values. Receive your welcome pack and proudly display your commitment to building better communities with your customers.
A “break” can be anything that gives a carer time to enjoy an activity away from their caring responsibilities. This could be a hotel stay, a meal out, tickets to an event, a wellness session, or even something as simple as coffee and cake with a friend.
Primarily we work with businesses in the hospitality, leisure, tourism, and culture sectors — but any organisation that can offer meaningful experiences is welcome. If you’re not in a position to gift a break, you can still support the project by funding a break.
The beneficiaries of the project are unpaid carers living in West Yorkshire. We work with Giving Partners who operate outside of West Yorkshire and/or offer breaks outside of West Yorkshire, but the project will only make those offers available to carers living in West Yorkshire.
When a break is offered, it’s listed privately in a secure area accessed only by Carer Support Workers, employed by one of the delivery partners*. They’ll discuss the breaks offered with the carer, and when a match is made, they’ll confirm the details with you directly. We ask that you then book that carer into your own booking system and treat that carer like any other paying customer... or better!
* Delivery Partners – we work with five registered charities stationed across the West Yorkshire region. These charities give specialist information, advice, and guidance to unpaid carers and the challenges they face in their caring role.
Absolutely. We’ll provide you with a Giving Partner certificate and welcome pack you can display, and we actively encourage sharing on social media. It’s a chance to celebrate your support and reach new audiences.
The Carer Support Workers work directly with carers to understand their preferences, personal circumstances and challenges, and what truly helps them recharge. Breaks are matched thoughtfully, and we follow up with carers afterward to hear how it went — often sharing their feedback with you (with consent).
That’s not a problem – we're grateful for any support offered and understand that things can change. We simply ask, if possible, to honor any breaks that have been claimed until that point, and that we can leave the door open for future collaboration.
